Guitar Hero: Megadeth [Clips]
This is not real. Well, not real in the sense that you can buy it. But it is real in the sense some people built it, off the back of GH: Aerosmith.
YouTube user CosmoKramer took the standalone title (specifically, the Wii version), installed a Megadeth intro, then dropped 42 playable Megadeth tracks (“written” in the Frets on Fire forums) into the setlist. It’s as ambitious as it is amazing.

Guitar Hero: Smash Hits Trailer Dates Game For June 16 [Clips]
Activision’s new Guitar Hero: Smash Hits trailer features very little in the way of “new.” It’s loaded with old tunes, even if the trailer argues they’re “the most fun Guitar Hero songs.”
But at least the thing gives us a firm release date, letting us know we can expect the game formerly known as Guitar Hero: Greatest Hits to arrive on June 16th. We only know a portion of the soundtrack so far, but the official site promises regular updates, letting fans decide which set list is announced next.
Not as good as letting fans actually choose which songs will be included in Guitar Hero: Smash Hits, but about as democratic as Activision gets.

Guitar Hero Metallica well received
According to gamerankings.com, most reviews about Guitar Hero : Metallica are very good. With an average score of 88.5% for all platforms, this comes as no surprise for many players as Metallica’s songs almost feel like they were made for Guitar Hero.
Only Gamespot gave a more than unusual lower score, but they tend to be strict towar the Guitar Hero serie since Rock Band came out.

Guitar Hero: Greatest Hits Is Now Guitar Hero: Smash Hits [Activision]
When Activision ships its “best of” Guitar Hero compilation this summer, it will be called Guitar Hero: Smash Hits, not Guitar Hero: Greatest Hits, as previously announced. Why? You got me.
Perhaps Activision is saving Guitar Hero: Greatest Hits for yet another installment, as it’s due to run out of Guitar Hero sequel and spin-off sub-titles any minute now. Or maybe there was just too much internal strife about who was indeed the greatest. But when you inevitably walk into your local GameStop or Best Buy or Target this June, demanding a full-band’s dose of Guitar Hero rehash… sorry, re-smash, now you know what to ask for. Make a note of it.
Big box art proof after the break.
