Are the Guitar Hero and Rock Band Guitars compatable with each game?

Author: In other words i have Guitar Hero 3 and Guitar Hero Aerosmith for the Wii. If i went out and bought Rockband AC/DC edition – just the game without the guitar would my Guitar Hero guitar work with it?

Yes it does. I did a little research online and it looks like it does work. It's similar to the situation with Aerosmith when it came to the 360. Guitar Hero III didn't work with the Rock Band guitar, and even though Aerosmith used the same engine as GH3, the RB1 guitar worked with the game. This is similar because the AC/DC Live pack uses the same engine as RB1, and GH3 guitar will work with it, even though it wont work in RB1.
