does rock band set work with ps2 version of new guitar hero?

Author: im thinking about buying the new guitar hero that came out (guitar hero smash hits). i dont have the band set from guitar hero world tour but i have the original rock band set for playstation 2. when i bought guitar hero metallica i found out that everything from rock band worked with that game. so i am wondering if my rock band instruments will work with guitar hero smash hits?

Yeah. They should still work. The game itself configures what instrument is plugged in in order for you to play the game. You should also try going into the options just in case you need to configure something in order for you to make them work, but the instruments should still work.
