Are there any defects or strange areas with it? If your guitar is wireless, insert the wireless controller part thingie into the PS2, turn on your guitar's wireless thing, and see if it works. Wireless guitars I think might run on batteries, so see if your batteries are working. If those don't work, then maybe you can play Guitar Hero with the regular PS2 controller.
