How do i turn on my wireless guitar for guitar hero 3 on ps2?

Author: I got guitar hero today and i go to turn on the guitar but the connector and the guitar lights still blink. HELP plz

there should be a little button on the receiver and the guitar press the button on the receiver then the button on the guitar to allow them to sync up and this is assuming ur batteries are not dead
