How do you put your own songs onto guitar hero?

Author: I have been trying to do this for a long time now and it seems i am getting nowhere, so will someone please tell me how to put my own songs onto guitar hero?

im pretty sure the only way is to hack whatever console your using. like ive seen on youtube where ppl have their hacked ps2 playing custom songs
