How do you take songs from Guitar Hero World Tour or Aerosmith and put them on Guitar Hero 5?

Author: I’m thinking about purchasing Guitar Hero 5, but I’ve played the crap out of the songs on there so I figure I could put the songs from other Guitar Hero games on there, I just don’t know how to do it

You cant, there is no way.
In the game menus for GH5, there is an option to input a unique code from the back of GHWT or GHSH manuals. You’ll also have to pay a 280 MSP fee per game. This will allow you to download 35 (out of 85) of the songs from GHWT or 21 (out of 48) songs from GHSH.
Any DLC from World Tour will automatically transfer into GH5 at no extra cost, with the exception of Jimi Hendrix tracks, which just won’t work.
So to clarify. All you need is the code from the back of the manual. Each code can be used only once. You also need to pay a $3.50 fee. Less than half the songs will transfer over. Older games CANNOT transfer at all.
It’s really sad to see that Activision can’t get their act together when it comes to exporting songs. Currently, that’s the major difference between GH and RB. All RB songs except 3 from RB1 transfer into newer games.
