Guitar Hero World Tour

My mom just recently bought a used guitar for guitar hero. She does not have World Tour but has about every other guitar hero known to man. The guitar she purchased used was the one that comes with World Tour. She said she can not find a power switch… on off button or anything. When she plugs the reciever into her PS2 the light flashes but she can not get the guitar to work. Any suggestions??
