Guitar Hero World Tour

When I am trying to play guitar hero metallica and smash hits…most of the songs doesnt load and the game freezes, and sometimes it doesnt even load at the beginning. The weird thing is that the SAME DISC on my friend’s ps2 works P-E-R-F-E-C-T-L-Y…is it a problem with my lid? any help would be appreciated
