Is the guitar hero 5 guitar any different than the previous guitars?

Author: My boyfriend wants guitar hero 5 for christmas…we already have 3 guitars from previous games. Is there anything special about the guitar that comes with GH5 or can I just buy the software?

The Guitar Hero 5 doesn’t add any new features or buttons, just a different look, nothing you’d need to play, and your boy friend may like how the old Guitar looks and feels better, so I’d say just stick with getting the game only.
If you don’t feel like just the game is enough, depending on what console he has the game for, you could look into buying him points so he could buy the Downloaded Content (Extra Songs) or could look into getting him a Custom Designed Guitar.
