Need help answering a question about Guitar Hero?

Author: ok so i have guitar hero world tour. can i get like guitar hero smash hits (just the game-no guitar) and still be able to play it even though i don’t have the guitar for it?

If what you’re asking is whether the Guitar Hero 4 guitar controller is compatible, then yes it will be. All Guitar Hero guitars are compatible with all the Guitar Hero and Rock Band games.
If you’re instead asking if you can use the standard Xbox 360 controller like you can in Guitar hero’s 2 and 3 for the guitar playing, then no you can’t. You will only be able to use it for the vocals in Guitar Hero 4, Metallica, Smash Hits and 5. A Guitar Hero microphone or Xbox Live Headset is needed for this don’t forget.
