What else besides a guitar hero SG controller and the game, would i need to play guitar hero 2 on my ps2?

Author: Im thinking of going to gamestop and buying 2 SG controllers and Guitar hero 2 the game and then ill just play but idk what else i would need, or is that all i need.
P.S : I read somewere that a guitar hero SG controller from Guitar hero 1 , will work on guitar hero 2.

Yes, both those guitars will work, and you don’t need anything else to play the game.
You can use the controller from guitar hero 1 on any of the guitar hero games, I have used mine on world tour. Some people even play with the regular ps2 controller.
Other than the controller and the game you will need fast fingers, and of course a ps2.
