Why isn’t my game working?

Author: I just got Guitar Hero Smash Hits a few days ago. During the time I got it and now I went over a friend’s house and took my Playstation 2 with me with the game in it. When I brought it home it kept saying "The disc could not be read." I put in my Guitar Hero 5 and it was working fine. What could be causing this? Thank you.

The disc is Scratched Or Broken.. you may need new one Or just Cough on it and wipe it off if it doesnt work you need new game
