Will the guitar hero 3 wireless controller work with older guitar hero games?

Author: I just got guitar hero 3 for ps2 and i love it! Im wondering if the wireless controller will work with older guitar hero games? I don’t want to buy separate guitar controllers for all the games!

Yea it will!
I just found that out today actually.
I got the 3rd one with the wireless controller for christmas and I borrowed the other 2 games and the wireless still works perfectly!
